since it is still raining I thought it would be good to catch up with my photos. On my bike ride into Jingdezhen I ride past a BIG pot Factory. I arrived as they were opening the factory and was able to follow the worker as he opened the doors. The Kiln was preposterously huge, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. everything is thrown in sections and then attached when it ts dry. Porcelain dry attachment!
"Chang Bizi" is a humorous Chinese terms used for western foreigners. It literally means "long nose". This blog will act as a place to collect images and experiences of my long nosed journey. While in the Peoples Republic of China I will be living and working at The Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen China. I will be a staff member working in the educational space and have a studio space in the design studio.
